Before

  • First of all, it’s important to be prepared for the fair day! Read the catalogue. Try to find out which companies that could be interesting for you and what they do. It’s important if you want to make a good impression to be well prepared.
  • Update your resume. Freshen it up and have it ready to send over over after the fair.
  • Take part in the events, some of them are held in English.
  • Who are you? Think about your strengths, qualities and the work areas that interest you. 
  • Take the chance to meet the companies in our Company date. Send your CV to us and get a chance to talk to a company like an interview. More -information is to come.

Fair Day

  • Dress up. Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and brush your teeth.
  • Put off your jacket and bag in the wardrobe. You get a Fika ticket!
  • Dare! Dare to go up to the companies, venture to question, dare to tell them about yourself.
  • Go on your own - you’ll get more out of their visit. It is YOUR day.
  • Body language says it all. 60% of our communication is nonverbal, and 30% is in the tone. A smile, a firm handshake, eye contact and good posture sends good signals.
  • Try to talk also with companies you don not think are interesting for you. They can surprise you by broaden your horizons.
  • Take a coffee and recharge your batteries to gain the energy to walk around the exhibition room.

After

  • Read all information you've collected during the fair. Write notes and remember contact information for future use. 
  • Reconnect to the companies you found interesting by telephone or email .Do not forget to visit them next year at Utnarm.

-Be aware of that international students aren’t recruited by all companies.

Don’t...

-Don’t hand your CV to all companies, they usually have no possibility to take care of it during the day. Swedish companies prefer receiving it via email or on their websites.
-Don’t expect to get a job offer on spot.
